The Navel variety is very popular among Calabrian oranges for the sweetness of its yellow juice, due to the low degree of acidity.
Calabrian Navel oranges are characterised by the presence of its typical twin fruit (called navel), inside the skin, located at the opposite end of the stalk.
It’s a round-shaped fruit and it’s slightly flattened on the poles; its slices have a fine texture, rich in juice, with an acidity/sweetness ratio in favour of sweetness.
These oranges from the field are ideal for freshly squeezed juices and to be eaten fresh.
